Post race - Exeter 17th March, the ground was given as good to soft, but in fact it was dead and bottomless ground and a lot of fancied horses did not get round, I think the groundsman on these tracks should go back to school and learn how to read the going at their race tracks, he just didn't go on the ground and struggled from around 3 out.

so we move on to Wincanton on the 1st April (now been declared for this race)

or Exeter on the 7th April.

Update post race, Hereford - he ran very very green and didn't know what to do bless him, the ground was very tacky and dead on the back straight, and the jockey said he blew up just before the last bend, but will improve for that run as it was an educational run for him, so we move onto a flat track with good or even good to firm ground which he is bred for, but all in all pleased with his run.

OPEN DAY at Nigel Hawke's racing complex - Confirmed date is Sunday 12th July 2026, friends and families all very welcome, we will be doing a free food and drinks etc from around midday onwards, view all the horses in the stable complex and Nigel will show you all the gallops etc and this will give you how a racing stables operates and this will be a great day out for all.
