Join Nigel Hawke and Simon Nott for a Racehorse Experience Day
Join Devons Grand National legend Nigel Hawke & Racing Journalist Simon Nott for an exclusive insight into horse racing.
The day includes:
• Breakfast tour at Thorne Farm – Meet Nigel Hawke & Simon Nott and enjoy a tour of the training facilities and gallops including breakfast roll and coffee in Hawke Barn.
• VIP Day at the races including lunch, transport and option to sponsor a race subject to availability.

• Stay at Thorne Farm to fully immerse yourself in the world of racing. Accommodation provided in our two beautiful cottages each with private hot tubs.

For the racehorse enthusiast we can tailor racehorse ownership packages to suit all budgets but if you just want a taste of how being an active participant of the nations second larger sport could feel, Nigel Hawke offers Racehorse Experience Days with the help of Simon Nott our local racing journalist and pundit.
The experience includes:
• A visit to the yard and tour of our comprehensive facilities
• Meet the stable teams and work riders
• See the horses at morning exercise on the gallops at Thorne Farm
• Then head off to the races at either Taunton, Exeter or Newton Abbott with VIP access and insights usually reserved for owners and trainers, this is a great way to get behind the scenes of a racing stable and experience a VIP day out at the races with lunch, tea/coffee soft drinks all provided included in your race day package.
Simon Nott is a freelance racing journalist who began his working life in horseracing in 1989 working for racecourse bookmakers. He worked for nine years as a Starting Price returner for Turf TV. This coincided with writing, including regular features in the Racing Post Weekender, Inside Edge and Racing Ahead magazines. Simon self-published Skint Mob an autobiographical book on his life in the betting ring which was nominated but did not win the racing section of BT Sports Book Of The Year Award in 2014.
He is co-founder of the Star Sports sponsored #BettingPeople series of video interviews, now in its seventh year, featuring over 300 interviewees. Simon still writes for Racing Ahead and produces regular blogs and betting ring reports for clients in the UK and Ireland.
