TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By placing your order on Devon Racing Syndicates you hereby agree to the following terms and conditions that apply as to what horse you are involved in one of our racing syndicates:


  • We give you an opportunity to have a share and race in our syndicate colours and the syndicate name for a fraction of the price of having your own horse in training.
  • We will provide information on your horse direct from our racing manager by our whatsapp pages and a weekly newsletter.
  • All Syndicate horses will run under the Syndicate's name and racing colours and the Syndicate manager will decide with the trainer where the horse runs and who rides the horse on the race day.
  • You will receive  FREE OWNER BADGES  and entry to the racecourse and access to the parade ring where you will see your horse and meet the Jockey. The owners badges are for owners only you cannot purchase these at the races.
  • 90% of all prize money won by the syndicate horse in training during the period of ownership shall be distributed as follows:
  • Prize money, i.e. win and place monies will be distributed approx 8 - 10 weeks after the horse has won any prize monies, depending on your share you will be paid a percentage of all money won.
  • The sum allocated as to your share will be the net total paid to the syndicate by the BHA.  This will be held in a separate holding account.
  • A 10% share of all monies won will be retained by Devon Racing Ltd for expenses.
  • Each share will depend on what percentage you have in the horse.
  • You will  NOT  transfer any shares you own to a third party unless agreed with our racing manager, if you transfer your share without informing the Syndicate manager you will be discarded from the racing syndicate with immediate effect.
  • Failure to pay your monthly payment which is due each month will result in you forfeiting your share but you will be still liable for that month's fees. See Syndicate info page for more details.
  • To withdraw from any ownership share then a 1 month notice must be given in writing by email, addressed to our racing manager at devonracingltd@gmail.com. Any shares that you own will be re-advertised and sold either privately or on the website and once your shares are sold then you will be paid on cleared funds, initially it is your responsibility to sell your shares not ours but we do try to assist you in selling your shares as we do not buy shares back and your monthly fees will automatically stop on the day you leave the syndicate unless your shares are unsold then your monthly fees will remain in force until your share/s are sold.
  • All syndicates run for a period of 24 months, after the 24 months you can either stay in the syndicate or we can sell your share/s for you, we do not buy your share/s back from you, your share will be valued and you will be paid out on what the valuation is as to your share when they are sold.
  • The syndicate is liable for all costs related to the training and racing costs of any horse you have a share in.
  • All horses are offered on a share purchase in shares of 3% - 5% or 10%. 
  • Members must be aged 18 or over.
  • Any person banned or warned off by the BHA  will not be able to own any of our horses in our racing syndicates or become a member.


Owners will be expected to behave and dress in a respectful manner on any race day at the races and if any owner disrespects the racecourse then they may be removed from the course by their own security. Any Owner or Members who disrespect the race course rules will be removed from Over the Jumps Racing ltd either as an owner or member. We will not tolerate anyone who misbehaves at the races.
